‘Yes I am a Bush’: Jeb Bush Yes I Am A Bush, Today’s Jeb Bush news: The former Florida governor — whose campaign logo is just plain Jeb! — showed Friday that he will embrace his family’s name.
“The next president needs to restore these relationships to create peace and security,” Bush said at the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference in Michigan. “And I happen to know this because, yes, I am a Bush. I happened to see two really good presidents develop relationships with other countries.”
“Bush is — on paper anyway — arguably the strongest Republican candidate in Michigan. He’s well known, he’s picked up early donations from key players and he’s been endorsed by Attorney General Bill Schuette, the most significant in-state endorsement so far this election cycle. Bush also didn’t do so well in a straw poll at Mackinac. He finished fifth, behind Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. Read more from the Detroit News.
More on the family front: Bush “thinks that a new television ad is ‘disgraceful’ for suggesting that his brother George W. Bush didn’t keep the country safe during his presidency.” Read more from the Washington Post.
