Woman Landed Plane Hero, The woman who landed a small plane in Door County after the mid-flight death of her husband will be honored at the Milwaukee Bucks game.

Eighty-year-old Helen Collins assumed the controls of the plane after her husband, John, was stricken April 2.

Three people instrumental in helping Collins land safely at Cherryland Airport will accept the award on her behalf – airport manager Keith Kasbohn and Robert and Cathy Vuksanovic (vook-SAN’-oh-vich). Kasbohn called the couple and they guided Collins to the ground as she stayed remarkably calm.

Her son Jim Collins says his mom won’t be there Monday night because she needs more rest, but she’s is honored and is doing really well. (AP)
