Wiz Khalifa One Billion Views, Wiz Khalifa has joined the Billion View Club.
This week, the Pittsburgh rapper’s video for the chart-topping hit “See You Again” became the 10th video to surpass one billion views on YouTube.
Taking just 184 days, “See You Again” is the second-fastest video to hit one billion in YouTube history, after Psy’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012. It is also the first rap video to reach one billion views.
Also in the Billion View Club are Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando,” Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” Katy Perry’s “Roar” and “Dark Horse,” Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and “Shake It Off” and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”
“See You Again,” a duet between Khalifa and singer Charlie Puth, is a tribute to late actor Paul Walker that appeared in the film “Furious 7.” The song could be a leading contender when the Grammy nominations are announced in December.
Khalifa will perform tonight at the Petersen Events Center as part of Pitt Basketball’s #ZooAfterHours Midnight Madness event. Doors open at 10 p.m. It begins at 11 p.m., and admission is free.
