Will Smith Fresh Prince, Will Smith revisited his television past recently and even led an audience in a sing-along of the theme song from his sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Smith appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” on May 18 to promote the upcoming release of “Men In Black 3.” Video of Smith’s appearance can be seen below.

“Every country in the world, that is the thing that I am most known for,” Smith said about the show, which ran for six seasons. “No matter how big the movies get it’s ‘Fresh Prince’ everywhere.”

Smith led a sing-along of the theme song after Graham claimed it was a song “everyone knows.” As Smith started the song the entire studio audience sang with the actor and rapper.

Smith also revealed a little background trivia about his character’s name on the series, which was also Will Smith.

“It’s funny because Alfonso Ribeiro, who plays Carlton — when we first started the show we were trying to come up with names for the characters,” Smith said. “And Alfonso pulled me aside, he said, ‘Man, let me tell you something … whatever your character’s name is, people are going to call you that for the rest of your life.”

“He said, ‘Make your character’s name Will Smith.’ And he was so right,” Smith added. “When we go out together people are like, ‘Will! Will! Carlton!”

Oddly enough, Tom Jones was on the panel as well and there was no mention of his song “It’s Not Unusual” and its significance to the series. Ribeiro’s character often performed a dance to the song which became known as the “Carlton Dance.” (OnTheRedCarpet)
