US citizen claimed, KFS served him a fried rat: KFC Denies Fried Rat, A 25-year-old US citizen’s Facebook post alleging that the fast food restaurant chain KFC had served him a ‘fried rat’ instead of fried chicken, went viral on social media.

Devorise Dixon, who lives in Watts, California posted the following photo on his Facebook page on Friday.

In his post, Dixon claims that the outlet manager had accepted that it was indeed a rat and apologised to him.

The Facebook post went viral on various social media platforms. Many people from around the world, including India, started posting on his Facebook wall thanking him for bringing the news out. They also said that they will discourage anyone from visiting a KFC outlet.

However, Dixon’s Facebook post has turned into a PR nightmare for KFC’s social media managers. For the past two days, thousands of KFC customers have been barraging their official FB updates, questioning them on the veracity of the news.

KFC has been responding to all the questions with the following message.

“This image is from the US and is unrelated to KFC in India. KFC takes customer claims very seriously, and they are investigating this matter. KFC chicken tenders often vary in size and shape, and there is no evidence to support this claim. We have extended the opportunity to have an independent lab evaluate the product at our own expense, but the customer refuses to provide the product in question”

This is in complete contradiction to Dixon’s claim, that KFC had acknowledged that it was indeed a rat. He has not filed any lawsuit yet.
