TS Grace heads west: Tropical Storm Grace, Tropical Storm Grace weaken more on Monday and is expected to drop to a tropical depression on Tuesday.
The storm’s maximum sustained winds at 5 a.m. Tuesday were near 40 mph (75 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Grace is centered about 13600 miles (2,185 kilometers) east of the Lesser Antilles and is moving west near 20 mph (30 kph).
Meanwhile in the eastern Pacific, Hurricane Linda had maximum sustained winds near 90 mph (150 kph) with additional some strengthening expected. But weakening is expected to begin Tuesday.
The hurricane is centered about 295 miles (480 kilometers) southwest of the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and is moving northwest near 10 mph (17 kph).
