2012 White House Correspondents Dinner, The much anticipated White House Correspondent’s Dinner was held on April 28, 2012. A night used to raise money for the White House Correspondents Association’s scholarships and awards which recognizes, aspiring and accomplished journalist. A night where celebrities walk the red carpet and rub shoulders with the media. This year’s dinner was hosted by comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, whose jokes targeted quite a few of the celebrities and politicians, including President Obama.

“Remember when the country rallied around you in hopes for a better tomorrow? That was a good one.”

“I know you won’t be able to laugh at my jokes about the secret service. Please cover your ears if thats physically possible.”

Obama took Kimmel’s jokes really well, laughing at them and even high-fiving Kimmel at one point of the night. He also had a few jokes aimed at other politicians, celebrities and even himself.

“What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull?” Obama asked. “A pit bull is delicious.” This being from the recent confession from his autobiography that he ate dog meat as a child in Indonesia.

There was a pretaped bit where it seemed Obama unknowingly left his microphone on while in the restroom. Aiming one of his comments at reality star, Kim Kardashian.

“Seriously guys, what am I doing here? I’m the President of the United States and I am opening for Jimmy Kimmel? Why am I telling knock knock jokes to Kim Kardashian? What is she famous for anyway?” Then the crowd heard the toilet flush before the President walked on the dais with a huge grin on his face.

This was not the only Kim Kardashian joke of the night. Kimmel had also targeted her and her family.

“If you are looking for the greatest threat to America right now, she is right there.” Kimmel said while pointing at her. “She’s Kim Kardashian.”

“When you took office, the Kardashians had one reality show,” said Kimmel. “Now they have four. This is not a good trend.”

Even with her being more of a target than other celebrities in attendance, she took them lightly and laughed along.

The ammunition of Kimmel and Obama was really packed for the Republican Presidential Candidates.

“We both have degrees from Harvard. I have one, he has two. What a snob,” joked Obama about Mitt Romney.

“The President wanted to move it to the Kennedy Center and the Republicans wanted to keep it at the Hilton. They compromised, so here we are at the Hilton.” – Kimmel
