Georgetown Cupcake Crew, Georgetown Cupcake crew will begin its second season Friday night with a series of special events. DC Cupcake was a hit series last year that followed the sisters Sophia and Katherine Kallinis Lamontagne and crew of Georgetown Cupcake. The transmissions show the trials and tribulations faced during the execution of a business.
The first task for the new season was to send more than ten thousand cupcakes abroad. TLC show tonight how these cupcakes are airshipped in boxes and kept cool with dry ice for the trip to Iraq and Afghanistan. They were transported in the president’s plane and a C-17 before arriving in wonderful condition.
The next task is to create a cupcake as a benefit to the Smithsonian National Zoo. A cake called “Gone Bananas” was the result. This banana honey cake will be on sale in Georgetown and Bethesda stores through March 4 and all proceeds will go to the zoo’s conservation programs. Georgetown Cupcake also presented the zoo with hundreds of cakes placed together to form a gorilla-sized.
In future episodes of DC Georgetown Cupcake Cupcake crew will create giant pink bra cupcakes to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For DC Fashion Week, the sisters make wedding dress couture cupcakes.
Back to back episodes starting on 25 at PM (ET / PT) in February. TLC has organized more than ten episodes to air as well.
