Originally listed with Sotheby’s in March for £5.96 million, perhaps the sprinkling of stardust helped push the price over the odds.

The exterior of 64 Perry Street featured the first three seasons of the hit HBO series about four girlfriends navigating the dating scene in New York, before filming moved just one door down to number 66 Perry Street – a more ornate and well tended residence – for the remaining three seasons and two movies.
