Sourav Ganguly Will Play For Pune Warriors, Former captain Sourav Ganguly to play for India in Pune Warriors the rest of the IPL in place of injured pace bowler Ashish Nehra.

Pune, which has lost six successive games after two wins, made the announcement Tuesday.

The 38-year Ganguly led India to the final of the World Cup and played for Kolkata Knight Riders IPL during the first three seasons. But it was not acquired at auction this year.

Tuskers Kochi have shown interest in signing Ganguly after being ignored at a base price of $ ,000, but the request was rejected by the Board of Directors of IPL.

Ganguly has scored ,363 runs in limited-overs international 311.
