Queen Elizabeth Previously Used
Queen Elizabeth Previously Used, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has named a new brood of puppies after ‘Harry Potter’ characters.
One Labrador from the Sandringham Estate – the queen’s country retreat in Norfolk – has been named Gryffindor, the same moniker for Harry Potter’s house at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
It is not known what other names from the successful book and movie series have been used.
The queen’s kennelman at the estate Alan Goodship made the revelation during an interview with Country Life magazine with him and the queen’s retired gun dog trainer Bill Meldrum.
The kennels at Sandringham were established in 1879 to house 100 dogs and now have 20 gundogs, Labradors and c**ker spaniels.
Queen Elizabeth – who is this year celebrating her 60th year on the British throne – is well known for her love of dogs and has three Corgis who are her constant companions.
Monty, Willow and Holly are all descended from Susan, whom the queen was given on her 18th birthday.
