Peyton Manning Chiefs

Peyton Manning Chiefs, We’re biased around here. I know that. You know that. We all know that. We’re Chiefs fans. But I’m still having trouble figuring out why in the heck someone would think the Denver Broncos make more sense for Peyton Manning than the Kansas City Chiefs.

I know I’ve been saying nearly every team makes sense for Manning, and that’s true, but in this particular case it should be the Chiefs, and there should be very few questions about it.

The Broncos had the top ranked running game last season but 660 of those yards came from the quarterback. No one ran the ball more than the Broncos, ranking first in the league in both attempts and yards. So now they’re supposed to turn into a passing team? With Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas?

Denver’s defense is cited as a strength of the team — they’re actually better than their 24th rank last season — but I would still take KC’s defense over them now and over the next few years.

It’s also been reported Manning doesn’t like the circus style media coverage. Hmm, in KC we have one paper. And in Denver they have…Tebow. And, on the day Manning visited, three players were suspended and two of them filed a lawsuit against the league. With Larry Johnson long gone, few Chiefs are suing anyone or getting sued.
