Ohio Rapper Arrested For Inciting Flash Mob, Authorities say the rapper Machine Gun Kelly held a flash mob at a mall in suburban Cleveland and was charged with disorderly conduct.

Strongsville police say the group met Saturday, and the center management has asked three people standing on a table near a railing on the second floor to resign. Kelly was among the three. When they refused, police were called.

Police said they are no longer in custody. Kelly tweeted later that “today was a statement.”

The incident took place in front of Panera Bread, as screaming students ran through the center and surrounded Kelly.

Kelly posted a video on YouTube’s official food that follows in the flash mob and after he was released from police custody. It starts with an intro artsy black and white, like the MGK and his crew ride to the tune of P. Diddy’s “Bad Boy For Life”.

The rest seems to happen fairly quickly, at least on camera – they enter the mall, rile up the crowd and the police to intervene.

Kelly, a native of Cleveland, explained the importance of his hometown fans in the house are for him and drove his car the police department.

Flash mob that thing we did right today was not necessarily about looking at all funny, like flash dance, it was more of a chance to love, you know, that was the first appearance we did in Ohio since announced a major label deal, and it was kind of a chance to show all children that we really care about them and we’re still here and we are always grounded and we will be boys and boys Cleveland, Ohio until we’re six feet under.

Sean “P. Diddy” Combs told MTV this month he signed Kelly, an Ohio native, on his label Bad Boy Records.

“Machine Gun” was the nickname of George Kelly, a Prohibition-era gangster.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the mayor recently vetoed an ordinance that would criminalize some uses of social media and sought to curb flash mobs.
