Nick Diaz: Suspension Reduced

Nick Diaz: Suspension Reduced, Nick Diaz got a big reprieve after the Nevada State Athletic Commission voted unanimously to reduce his original five-year suspension to just 18 months.
The corresponding fine was also reduced from $165,000 to $100,000, a result of a settlement between the NSAC and the camp of Diaz.
The 18-month suspension is retroactive to that January 31, 2015 match Diaz had against Anderson Silva, meaning that the American mixed martial artist will be eligible to return to UFC action by Aug. 1.
Diaz lost to Silva at UFC 183 held at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. He was later on found positive for marijuana metabolites, his third infraction in the state.
