New ‘Late Show’ lineup: Late Show With Stephen Colbert, As Stephen Colbert readies for his run as David Letterman’s successor, Oklahoma country music superstar Toby Keith is among the celebrities he’s calling on to launch “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” premieres at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 on the CBS Television Network, with a week full of guests spanning the worlds of film, politics, business and music.

Guests appearing on Sept. 8 will include Academy Award winner George Clooney, Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and a musical performance by the new “Late Show” bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human and special guests, according to a news release.

In addition, the show will feature musical performances by Kendrick Lamar on Sept. 9, Keith on Sept. 10 and Troubled Waters on Sept. 11.

Earlier this year, as previously reported, Colbert ushered Keith into the Songwriters Hall of Fame with a hilarious speech and a surprisingly good rendition of the Norman resident’s country hit “Not As Good As I Once Was.”
