NBA Playoff Schedule, The second round NBA playoffs series between the No. 4 Boston Celtics and No. 8 Philadelphia 76ers will begin ay 8 p.m. ET Saturday, after each team clinched victory in their first round series on Thursday. The Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 4-2 to advance, while the Sixers held the same margin over the Chicago Bulls, becoming the fifth No. 8 seed to win a first round series.

Neither Boston nor Philadelphia had home court advantage in the first round. The Celtics hold home court in the second round series.

The NBA has only scheduled out the first two games of the series. Game 2 in Boston is slated for 7 p.m. ET Monday. The NBA has warned/promised that the second round will include one back-to-back for each series; that would definitely benefit the younger, deeper 76ers here.

Boston finished four games ahead of Philly in the Atlantic Division this season, but the Sixers won the season series 2-1. This series should be a defensive slugfest, much like each team’s first round set. The C’s finished the season with the league’s No. 1 defense and No. 27 offense. The Sixers had the league’s No. 3 defense and No. 20 offense. (SB Nation)
