Mr Bean Actor Crashes Supercar, “Mr. Bean” actor Rowan Atkinson, whose character is known for poor driving in television and films, left a hospital Friday after being treated for minor injuries after a car accident in Sports southern England.

The actor was 56 years behind the wheel of his McLaren F1 supercar – one of the fastest cars in the world the road – when it crashed Thursday night, hitting a tree and a lamppost before the vehicle caught fire, authorities said.

Atkinson said firefighters had not been trapped inside the car. British tabloid Daily Mirror reported that the actor was able to walk away from the vehicle and flag down other motorists to help them.

Atkinson was seen leaving Peterborough City Hospital the afternoon, with four security guards on Friday but made no comment to reporters. The public does not disclose details of his injuries.

The accident occurred near Haddon, a village about 85 miles (140 kilometers) north of London.

Atkinson was a routine Breathalyzer test at the scene and will face no criminal charges, police said.

McLaren F1 car has a top speed of 230 mph (370 kph), but the police did not suggest Atkinson was speeding. The exclusive cars can cost around $ 1 million.

The actor, a car enthusiast, appears in a series of misadventures in his car, “Mr. Bean “series. It is shown in a program at the wheel of a Mini while sitting on the roof of the vehicle. Atkinson is also known for the historical comedy series “Blackadder”.
