Mpaa, 4chan and movie piracy are closely linked: Many users of anarchic message board frequent sites like The Pirate Bay to download movies that can see only in the basement of his parents. Now, 4chan is attacking the champions of the fight against piracy.

The Motion Picture Association of America website has been down since this morning, pulled down by a flood of malicious traffic coordinated by 4chan. (A similar attack briefly knocked Gawker this summer.) The assault appears to be a reprisal for the Indian CEO of a technology firm boasting that his company launched similar attacks in the movie piracy Web sites like The Pirate Bay at the behest of movie studios . Company website was rushed down as CEO panic tried to reverse his comments.

Last night, in a statement distributed and the website 4chan, a change of lens announced

We went to the illegitimate group that has served so far this charge against our websites, including The Pirate Bay. We went to MPAA.ORG! The IP is designed to “216.20.162.10?, And our cooking time is the same. All details are as before, but we have our sights reaimed in this much larger goal. We have the manpower, we botnets, is the moment we can do to keep doing what to us.

REPEAT: AIPLEX has dropped thanks to ANON ONLY. GOALS We’re moving.

A few hours later, MPAA.org down.

How to launch effective attacks this 4chan? There’s this program with the proper name of low-orbit nerd Ion Cannon (LOIC) and anyone with an Internet connection and a bit of time to see a YouTube tutorial and it can be installed LOIC repeatedly ping a website. Just LOICs while cooking will bring almost any web site down.

The hard part is to accumulate enough cash to anonymous users the attack. As evidenced here, is a great way to get between the nerds and free movies. [] Torrentfreak
