Transport for London tweeted a photo showing the demonstration with a couple of hundred people involved. The group, F**k Parade London, who organised the gathering, claimed they were protesting gentrification in London, and even described the event on Facebook as a “street party”.

“Our communities are being ripped apart — by Russian oligarchs, Saudi Sheiks, Israeli scumbag property developers, Texan oil-money twats and our own homegrown Eton toffs,” the group stated via Facebook.

“London is our home and worth defending against this onslaught of dog-eat-dog economics. Working class people are being forced out of our homes but we won’t go out without a fight.”

The mob won’t win, wearing masks with pitch forks and torches, it’s 2015. #hatecrime
