Halle Berry ‘addictive’ Relationship, Halle Berry, the Monster’s Ball actress, says she has an obsessive relationship with shoes.Olivier Martinez, the former boyfriend of Kylie Minogue, may have announced his engagement to Halle Berry, but the twice-married Monster’s Ball star admits that she has another ongoing relationship.
“I have a real relationship,” purrs the 45-year-old actress. “I’m pretty addicted. I’m pretty obsessive.”
Lest Martinez be too outraged, I should add hastily that it is the relationship Berry has with her shoes. She says she has “thousands” of pairs.
Journalists who write for The Guardian can dish it out when it comes to politically incorrect comments — one has called me a “cretin” — but they seem to find it harder to be on the receiving end.
The newspaper’s television critic Grace Dent was sent a Tweet by a young public relations man named Mufadal Jiwaji while she was making her peculiarly unfunny appearance on Have I Got News For You?
He joshed on the social networking website: “@gracedent reminds me of a girlfriend I once had. By girlfriend I mean that time I accidentally made love to an ugly abhorrent horse.”
He was quick to apologise for his “vulgar and puerile” comment, but that wasn’t good enough for Dent. Apparently forgetting that she had herself made personal comments on Twitter that are too obscene to reproduce here, she informed Jiwaji that he was about to be sacked from his company, Hill & Knowlton, with whom she had a professional relationship.
