Guy Pretends He Was Drafted

Guy Pretends He Was Drafted, Word of advice if you plan on hanging around at the 2016 NBA Draft … that tall guy in a suit may not be a basketball player.

Connor Toole, a writer for Elite Daily, decided to pull a prank on unsuspecting fans by pretending to be a prospect waiting to hear his name called in the draft.

Toole hung around the Barclays Center before the event taking pictures with fans and having a great time, getting many wishes of “congratulations” and “good luck” along the way.

“So it turns out if you wear a suit, act really confident and are also 7-feet tall, it’s real easy to get on the floor of the NBA Draft,” Toole said in a video made of the prank.

Toole did get on the floor of the draft, congratulating top picks like Kristaps Porzingis on getting selected.

After the draft was over, Toole partied the night away in New York City as the “newest member of the Utah Jazz.”

Toole was able to get drinks on the house, take more pictures and selfies and even pick up phone numbers from some young ladies who believed him to be a future NBA star.
