Fake Dentist Arrested, A Long Island man is accused of running a dental practice out of his home despite having no formal medical or dental training.
Nassau County police arrested Manuel Carranza, 46, of New Cassel on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say they got a phone tip saying he was practicing dentistry out of his house. They say Carranza’s home office was equipped with dental equipment and there were also various prescription medications in the home.
They also found two electronic stun guns in the office.
Police say that Carranza also tried to give them a forged New York State Identification card.
