“So, ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again,” the billionaire businessman and reality-TV star said when he announced his bid at the Trump Tower in New York.

“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created,” he added to applause from the crowd.

Trump, 68, didn’t hesitate to remind his supporters that he’s “really rich.” “That’s the kind of thinking you need for this country. It sounds crass, but it’s not crass.”

He added that he has a total net worth of more than $8 billion and that he plans on running his campaign with his own money. (Forbes, however, lists his net worth as half that amount, $4.1 billion.)

Trump, who has hinted that he would run for president multiple times over the years, said in a recent interview that the theme of his campaign is “Make America Great Again.”

Trump also addressed his strategy for defeating ISIS in the interview sort of.

“I have an absolute way of defeating ISIS, and it would be decisive and quick and it would be very beautiful. Very surgical.”

But, he added, “If I tell you right now, everyone else is going to say: ‘Wow, what a great idea.’ You’re going to have 10 candidates going to use it and they’re going to forget where it came from. Which is me.”
