David Cameron No Tip, The PM had asked for two cappucinos and an espresso. But waitress Francesca Ariani, 27 — who did not recognise him — said he would have to take them out to a terrace himself.
Afterwards, Mr Cameron and wife Sam, 40, paid their 3.10 euro bill — but did not leave a gratuity.
Embarrassed Francesca said after the incident in Tuscany, northern Italy: “I’m so sorry if I appeared rude, it’s just that I was on my own and really busy.”
While enjoying their drinks at the cafe, Mr Cameron showed he is still a true blue — wearing a shirt in his favourite colour.
The Tory PM had on a blue polo top. Mr Cameron, 44, has often been snapped in similar casual gear.
He was in blue as he pushed son Arthur, now five, in London in July 2007.
In June 2009 he wore blue at Swinbrook raft race in Oxfordshire.
He also chose the shade to meet Tories at a pub in Swindon, Wilts, in April last year. (The Sun)
