Bobby Brown’s performance: Bobby Brown Fourth Perform, Bobby Brown forgot lyrics and frequently left the stage to hug friends and family during a Fourth of July performance in Atlanta on Saturday.
The 46-year-old singer’s daughter with the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is nearby in hospice care after a January incident left her unresponsive and unconscious.
Brown’s concert at Wolf Creek Ampitheater was part of the Affordable Old School Concert Series with other ’90s artists Mint Condition, Juvenile, Tweet and J.J. Williamson.
The star performed some of his big hits, like “My Prerogative” for a packed crowd, and had audience members dancing out of their seats.
Brown wore an all-pink ensemble, including pink shoes, a pink hat, pink coat and pink vest.
The singer skipped several lyrics throughout the show, telling the audience “Y’all got me forgetting s—.”
“I am in a different zone right now,” he added, seemingly alluding to his ailing 22-year-old daughter. “If I go somewhere else, please join me on the tour because it’s gonna be fun.”
The audience supported Brown, cheering, “We understand!” Regardless, Brown seemed to be all smiles, and told the crowd “This is my happy place.” He also left the stage several times during the 30 minute performance to hug his brother Tommy Brown who was standing nearby.
Brown and family have been gathered by Bobbi Kristina’s side since she was moved to hospice two weeks ago.
