Biggest great white filmed: Great White Shark Deep Blue, A new video has surfaced showing the six-metre great white shark known as Deep Blue swimming within inches of divers.

Marine biologist Mauricio Hoyos Padilla, who has tracked the progress of the female shark, posted the video of the shark on his Facebook page yesterday.

The footage was filmed off the coast of Guadalupe Island in Mexico.

In an accompanying description Mr Padilla says he believes the shark is pregnant and at least 50 years old.

“This amazingly enormous female is carrying several little baby White Sharks, just waiting to be swimming free in the Ocean,” he said.

Mr Padilla previously filmed the shark in the same area where she appeared to be “high fiving” divers.

The video was used as part of a Discovery Channel documentary on the shark.

Mr Padilla is part of an organisation which is trying to protect great white sharks.
