Baby found near road: Baby Found On Side Of Road, Police in Maryland have charged the mother of an abandoned baby girl with child neglect and reckless endangerment after her child was found on the side of a road in Pasadena late Saturday night.
Police believe Sandra McClary, 26, of Baltimore, took the baby out of her car and left her in a car seat carrier in the 900 block of Druid Hill Avenue shortly before midnight. Police said remnants of a diaper bag were found near where the car seat with the baby was recovered.
Anne Arundel police said McClary called police herself at about 10 a.m. Sunday morning, saying the baby was hers and that claiming that the baby’s father was supposed to have the child.
But police traced McClary’s movements after tracking a part of a car’s license plate spotted in the area where the child was found.

It was the end of a mystery that had stunned the D.C. area since the baby was found by a bishop in a local church on the way home on July 4. However, police said, the investigation will continue. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-222-4700.
The baby girl, believed to be 2- or 3-months-old, was taken to a local hospital and then released to the Department of Child Protective Services.
