American Horror Story Season 2, Die-hard “American Horror Story” Tate Langdon fans need to brace themselves for season 2, because Evan Peters won’t be playing anything close to the sympathetic sociopath that surprisingly garnered legions of loyal followers. However, if you’re also a fan of Evan Peters the actor, you may just fall a little deeper in love the second time around.
Yesterday, May 22nd, AHS creator Ryan Murphy told “Vulture” that the “ultimate badass boy” from season 1 is going to be season 2′s hero.
Does this mean that Evan could be the prince riding in on a white horse to save, say, Chloe Sevigny who according to Murphy, is slated to play a woman whose husband has her committed for liking S-EX-? And, during the saving, would there be potential for some sort of steamy hook up?
Hmm Pure speculation of course, but “hero” does imply saving someone or something. Or, at the very least good guy instead of evil incarnate.
During his season 1 Examiner interview, the very charming Peters said he enjoyed playing Tate and the physicality surrounding some of the fights and action sequences, as it balanced out the heavy emotional scenes.
Playing the hero in season 2 will give him a chance to stretch some different acting muscles, and gain an even bigger fan base because we usually root for the hero and really want him to succeed. If Evan Peters could send millions of women into a heated frenzy as a violent psychotic killer, imagine the massive numbers of swooning hearts he’ll capture playing someone brave, courageous and kind
According to Murphy, the actors are going to look different and have different accents (remember it is set on the East Coast). Does this mean some native New York or Boston long “r”s (pawk the caw)?
Plus, it’s going to be set in the 60s. Think civil rights, Beatles, beatniks, LSD and the S-EX-ual revolution. That’s an interesting era for a backdrop – and would make some potentially juicy back stories for some of the characters. (Examiner)
