’80s rocker divorcing: Daryl Hall Divorce, Apparently Daryl Hall just couldn’t make his wife’s dreams come true. Amanda Aspinall has filed divorce from her crooner hubby after six years of marriage. His hit ‘She’s Gone’ will have a whole new meaning now.
Blue eyed soulster Daryl Hall, 68, is about to become a single man. His wife of six years, Amanda Aspinall, has filed for divorce from the former Hall & Oates singer. Amanda filed documents to end her marriage back in May to ditch the “Rich Girl” singer, which came to light on August 13. The couple had been married since 2009.

Amanda filed court papers claiming the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Her soon to be ex Daryl will not contest the claims so long as the prenup agreement is observed. Daryl spent the past six years married the British socialite, who is the daughter of the late zoo owner and gambling tycoon John Aspinall. While the pair didn’t have children together, her sons from a previous relationship, March and Orson lived with the couple on his Connecticut estate. Daryl also has one biological child from a past relationship, an adult son named Darren.

The singer has only been married once before, to Bryna Lublin from 1969 to 1972. But it was his 30 year relationship with songwriter Sara Allen that spawned one of Hall & Oates’ biggest hits, the classic 1976 ballad “Sara Smile.” The pair never married and ended up going their separate ways in 2001.

While Daryl is best known for a slew of hits such as “Rich Girl,” “You Make My Dreams Come True” and “Kiss On My List” with partner John Oates, he’s reintroduced himself to a new generation since 2007 with his online show and podcast Live From Daryl’s House. The singer has interviewed fellow artists such as Joe Walsh, Rob Thomas, Darius Rucker as well as Ray Manzarek & Robbie Krieger of the legendary ’60s band The Doors.

Daryl and John are still on the road touring as Hall & Oates. The duo’s 2015 dates will see them hit the Western U.S. later in August. The pair were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year.
